This is not only an art class where we explore exciting techniques, our group will develop a sense of safety where we can delve into the unknown of art making while learning to talk about the art of others and our own, in a helpful way.

The benefits of this journal practice seamlessly translate to your every day life.

**What is BODY CENTERED art?

Within the safe container of our journal we will engage images, colors, words and patterns that activate a sensation in our body.

Which colors feel nurturing?
Which image repels you?
Which images are you curious about?
What sound/smells makes you feel nostalgic inside?
Which patterns/textures create a warmth?
What do you encounter that brings up goose bumps?
What makes you want to walk/run away?

For better or worse, the images that elicit body sensations inform the direction and quality of our lives each day.

Let’s move towards our images together and let the transformation begin!
